> You just dont understand tennis. There is nothing in Konta's game to harm Venus. Venus has to be pretty poor to lose to a loser like Konta. Everything about Konta's game is measured. She is not free-flowing. When she does try to hit a free flowing shot it goes miles outside the baseline. She has like 0 natural talent. Her serve is decent though - Courier like.

if you'd watched it, you'd see Konta was using pretty good tactics to disarm Venus, but since you've NEVER played tennis yourself you wouldn't get this.
Venus got lucky when virtual set point down and then Konta got nervous closing out the set, that's what happened. Once that happened it allowed Venus to take charge.
Anyways, my question is about Venus' alleged fatigue thing - where has that gone? or was this just more dumb journos talking utter lies and fake news?

oh yes Anna Kournikova was top 10 in the 90's.

Venus has Sjögren's Syndrome. It doesn't go away, ever. She's managing
it exceptionally well.

We have a tennis-playing friend here in FL who has Sjogren's. It's a
miserable affliction. Anyone who can compete at a world level with
Sjogren's is amazing -- and I've only heard of one such person.

Pain and fatigue are symptoms of SjS, but they are not permanent. Once
diagnosed, immunosuppressant drugs can prevent them recurring with any
frequency.

If you really want to think of yourself as the king of RST quality-film
watching, then around 913 is the target to shoot for -albeit a moving
target. Otherwise, you're just in denial.

LOL ... so because TT doesn't believe me, that means the x-number of
hours that i spent watching those films didn't actually happen! Wow,
wish I had known that before i watched them. Could have saved myself the
time.

LMAO!

She would be the only one to beat them both in slam finals. Since her initial loss to Hingis in the 97USO final, Venus has never lost a slam final to anyone other than Serena.

there's a lot of Americans on here and Raja, if Mugu keeps playing like the last 3 matches, Venus will be in big trouble.

She looks like Sharapova did at 2004 Wimbledon, like she can take over
tennis and win 10-15 slams or maybe more. Sky's the limit.

Then again, that didn't quite happen for Shrap, and Mugs looked the same
at the 2016 FO, and she hasn't been able to follow it up.

But the possibility is there.

Difference is that "Steffi" sounds like a, say, 25-year-old beautiful woman while "Chrissie" has something of a 13-year-old brat about it.
