It's been 24 hours.
Big business news wrote that Agata Kornhauser-Duda
snubbed President Trump. Typical. What is atypical
is that they lied about the First Lady of Poland.
Dirtbags.

Don't get your knickers in a twist. It'll blow over.... right about.....maybe...let's see...about 23 hours and 58 minutes ago.

It is amusing. For the last 8 years, you guys have been bemoaning every perceived slight of Obama. "He's making America a laughingstock." Enter Trump. Nothing's changed. We're still getting perceived slights.

Once again: poisoning the well.
W-L is an accurate metric along with all the other statistics.

There are many ways for W-L records to be influenced other than how well a pitcher pitched. Are you a better pitcher if your team scores 6 runs per games than if it scores 2 runs per game? Or if it averages 1 error per game instead of 3 errors per game? What if your team has a great closer versus a closer that blows half if his saves?

1. That article is like the Chinese food of news. You eat a whole meal and are still hungry. In this case the article gave zero information about what exactly the dispute is between the newspapers and google/facebook. That context would have helped to evaluate just how spurious this request was or not. Since it was left out I'm going to guess it would make them look better (for example, is Google scraping newspaper websites without permission). It also makes you wonder what other context was omitted that might make the point less sharp. Like did these three actually plead poverty, or is it just that a trade association they belong to was lobbying (I think I know the answer and you do too if you read the article carefully).

2. New York Times. Washington Post. Buffalo News. One of these is not like the others.

They go all in on partisan politics
then demand the winner give their chips back.

Your statement makes no sense.

This is a dispute between newspapers and Google/Facebook.

Which side is the winning partisans?

That's not a bandwidth problem. It's a posting from iPhone problem. Google groups on mobile devices doesn't support context. You also see it in andrew's poasts.

Yes, I know. Just a gentle ribbing...and a slight lament of the continual
slide of Usenet.

And yet Medicare spending per enrollee has increased less than
the private market over the past 30 years. And continues to do
so. And is projected to continue. This is in spite of Medicare's
risk pool being much worse then the private industry, of course.

Eat more fats. Fats are more satisfying per unit.
Allows stomach to shrink, hence less food fills stomach.

What information is public varies by state, but last four digits of the SSN was one of the items states are balking at.

Are you really so stupid that you think a cable-only channel is "licensed" on "airwaves"?

Hmm, crickets.

Interesting how quickly wingnuts can lose interest in what they claim is the most important crisis in our democracy.

I have friends in Stockholm and when I was there on business there was no sign of the refugees, and this was in Dec '15 when it was raging. The only non-Swedish looking people I saw begging or being a nusiance were actually Roma, who have been there for decades. I asked about it and they said none of them ever see the refugees because they are kept in camps out of town and away from everyone else.

That seems incongruous with O'Reilly's claim. Not sure if I should believe the people who actually live in Sweden, or a wingnut scouring the internet to try to make a point. Hmmm.

Btw also Sweden is a very feminist country as wingnuts like O'Reilly and rfsckers like to ridicule. But they don't realize that means sexual assault is more likely to be reported, and things that we would see as "drunk boys being drunk boys" at a music festival and would tend to let go, get reported as sexual assault in Sweden. So once again, I don't think this really tells us anything.
