Watched it...

You're right, I wasn't too fond of it. Good film about a painful topic
but not exactly compelling or something I enjoyed watching. Will give it
a 6 with a mental note not to watch it again.

It's somewhat overrated... Pardon the comparison, but it gets slightly
higher ratings at IMDB and RT than 'On Golden Pond' does. Madness.
Lowered standards for modern films.

Maybe a better comparison would be Bergman's 'Cries and Whispers', which
is also about a dying relative & stuff.

I rather recommend 'A Man Escaped' than 'Diary...'

Mouchette was ok.

> Nice black & white cinematography. Other than that, a real waste. By the end I was hoping the little tow-headed Aryan kids would turn out to be "children of the damned" and drive their interrogators to suicide.

A supernatural horror type ending might have redeemed 'White Ribbon' a
bit. The film did have that sort of evil atmosphere (or more like
story). Let's see, what did I give it again... ah, a 3.

>> find some pseudo-intellectual metaphors about money and society and even

> I haven't seen the film, but when that kind of thing happens, I can understand iconoclastic artists who make a point of making a piece of complete crap to see if the critics will really praise *anything* they do. With someone like Bresson or Godard, it must get to feel absurd after 40+ years of filmmmaking.

Heh. Maybe Bresson indeed did it for LOLZ.

Frankly, that's an astonishing statement. Wish there was an emoji that
showed my jaw dropping 3 feet and shattering against the floor, LOL.

I thought people said Nadal wasn't close to his best when he was beaten three times this year by the great man!

Rafaella Marcellus Clay only needs to be 75% on this surface.

Yep. Had lost 19 games in 2012 same stage...

Looked very good today, sort of beating Agut with ease... hitting
winners without much effort.

Games win% from four matches doesn't tell much... could be just easy
opponents. But I think he's in excellent form.

Doesn't "flack" come from the German "Fliegerabwehr-Ckanone"?

Yes, it was a really dumb, pedantic thing for courtie to say. Very lame.

Obama had a strawman - a "friend" - buy the "Magnum P.I." mansion for him. Would have been too embarassing for him otherwise ...

That's more of a surrogate than a strawman.

She might even win it.

Dumb Steffi - that she didn't sacrifice a few months of practicing in the spring and enter the FO women's competition. Would have been an easy 23th slam for her ...

Federer 7-0 on break points. I'm not aware of a better break-point
return by anyone in any match, and he did it on the Roddick serve.
