>P.S. PeteWasLucky, does this match answer my question I posed after the AO 2014 about whether that Stan win over Nadal was an oddity? I think it probably does.
>P.S.S. Bob, Nadal sure looks like he's in poor form in 2017 and this isn't the "same" Nadal according to you. No, it's a better Nadal is some ways! Dumbo!
>P.S.S.S. Shakes, it looks like I'm not the one eating crow! :)

i said the day of FO that rafa had 2/3 chance to win based on heat and
stan's long SF. recall? i didn't think stan would play that poorly,
but where you got that i predicted a stan win i'm not sure.

i said stan had capabilities - but he played nowhere near them.

Good observation!

He also has won fewer Australian Opens than:
Lendl, Wilander, Agassi, Djoker, Sampras, Becker, Edberg and Federer
NOT combined.

nadal's clay season form has been as good as peak, i admit, and i'm
happy to see it.

but i'm also quite sure that his game has changed somewhat. he hits
harder serves, less topspin on the FH, more aggressive, and more UEs
whether the stat sheet calls them UEs or not. i'm quite certain he
does it cause he knows he a bit slower (it's obvious to see) and he
realizes his defensive and grinder skills are down a notch.

it's obvious he's been on a 1 yr upward trajectory, which reached it's
pinnacle in the FO. i'm curious why nobody else sees it.

but no doubt rafa and his new strategy/style is playing great tennis
atm.

Same with the USO. The scary part about his current game is that he's playing more aggressively to compensate for the slight loss of movement/speed with a better serve and bh.

He's serving his second serve 9mph faster than before. Probably his biggest area of improvement.

nadal said he could always serve much harder, just wasn't in his
strategy. now that he is, makes me think i was right about what he's
been doing as far as being more aggressive to make up for his
diminished defensive skills.

Yes, Alien, no I meant it, but can change to best death scene in any movie you have seen?

The "best" death scene?
The most touching is the final scene of "United 93". Because it could have been us.

That and one from Psycho are legendary.

But first one that came to mind was:

I especially like the final touch with a knife.

How about Bruce Lee vs. Chuck Norris in "Way of the Dragon" ?

Yeah, I just watched that clip too. The fight itself is a martial arts classic. The death more of a footnote.

Yeah, I originally put that in as well as "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid". In the end, I took them out.
