CtrlAltDel <altiemcd@aol.com>: May 07 07:37PM

Emmanuel Macron has swept the French elections and put the hate monger in
her place and let the world know that freedom still rings in Paris and all
of France.

Following deep and irrational fears of "Islamic" terrorism, the French
populace has voted for a man, in Macron, who is very closely aligned with
President Donnie on several important issues.

The most grave issue facing the EU, which Macron is a spokesperson for, is
the inability of the EU to police their own borders. They feel that just
anyone can't come walking into Europe because it's a pretty day and is
something to break the monotony. It may be an emotion born out of
ignorance, lack of education, hatred, and fear but, it is what it is.

To counteract a sudden influx of criminal illegal aliens, he hopes to be
able to contribute his idea to start a 'rebirth' of the European project
with his pledge to strengthen EU external borders with a 5,000 strong
force.

He will promptly sent 5,000 French kill machines to help guard against the
"Islamic" terrorists who now freely walk across borders into Europe as if
they were simply made of air.

That's a man, a real man who will now protect the French people. The
French were tired of being murdered and decided to elect a person who has
absolutely no qualms about preventing Muslims from illegally invading
sovereign nations.

The United States, Britain, now France. Who is next to wake up and smell
the coffee?

whoever wrote this must have written it about Marine Le Pen and then replaced her name with Macron's. Good job, too, of replacing the pronouns.

Been mirroring our last election pretty closely. Feel likes it's not going out on a limb to predict, in spite of a 20 pt deficit in the polls, France will be elect a real life, honest to god, capital F Fascist in a matter of hours.

Nationalism and anti-immigration seem to be a potent secret sauce across the western world right now.

Cheers.

58-59k or so for pdk with no other options, but Porsches come so poorly optioned that the average new msrp is maybe 69-73 for a base. I didn't get as many options as most and my msrp came to 66 I think, but I got a little off msrp.

A quart of Jack Black is close by. Should I add insulin or shoot it in
about 11 hours?

Must be a really old bottle.
CtrlAltDel <altiemcd@aol.com>: May 07 06:03PM

It is becoming horrible very rapidly in the stricken nation of Venezuela.
I never really believed that American policy towards South America for the
last 100 or so years could have lead to what is now happening. People
actually living in countries in Central and South America and Mexico would
always say that all their problems were because of American citizens but I
didn't believe that.

Now I do believe it. It's really bad down there and they used to be the
richest nation on planet Earth and nothing has changed to cause their
current malaise except American interference in their lives and economies.

We are a really horrible group of people when you get right down to it, us
Muricans.

As a general rule, I believe the Slavs have cornered the market on
beautiful young women who get incredibly ugly as they grow older.

Without the involvement of government the opportunity would not have

not sure why I chose to engage you again, thinking you'd finally given up that kind of posting.

I won't make the same mistake twice.
dotslashderek@gmail.com: May 07 05:46AM -0700

Such a dire threat, drew. Here's what I said:

"Can we stop pretending the dudes who wrote the three fifths compromise were infallible?"

Here was your response in its entirety:

"All men are created equal is confusing."

Yeah. Nothing dbagish there.

It's not like you actually disagreed with anything I said directly - who'd wanna defend that particular compromise as evidence the constitution was somehow written in granite, right?

Nah, you just wanted to get in a general, snarky, empty, meaningless swipe.

And *you're* gonna whinge about being trolled?

Hike up your skirt and gmafb.

Cheers.
dotslashderek@gmail.com: May 07 05:51AM -0700

Ken, I wasn't talking to you there and have some general understanding of why they included the three fifths compromise in the first place.

I also think it's a pretty easy example of why the document shouldn't be considered written in stone, which was my only point.

In my mind, the dudes who wrote it understood this, which is why they included multiple paths to amendment.

Cheers.

The glory days of being a pilot are gone.

My FIL took a lump sump buyout because he didn't trust the airline to maintain a pension. He earned in the high 200s from the late 80s on. Not sure how much he made running charters, but that seemed to be a good business.

| the healthiest business strategy for any pro league should be to
| position itself as close to the political center as possible,
| thus maximizing its ability to attract fans from all walks of life.

ESPN and TNT go left.

| That strategy is fatally flawed because it makes several false
| assumptions, including
|
| 1) the notoriously mercurial millennials will remain interested
| in your product for more than five minutes,
|
| 2) the young will retain the politics of their youth as they go
| through life's trials and tribulations
|
| 3) your older, loyal clientele, who isn't ready to die for
| another 30-40 years, will not abandon you even as you take it for
| granted.

The NBA goes all the way left. See Popovich and Cuban.
ESPN agrees to pay the NBA $1.4 billion per season, up from $0.5 billion.

| While ESPN basically eliminated its NHL department, gutted its
| baseball coverage, and even substantially trimmed its NFL and
| college football personnel, it chose to dump more money on the
| NBA. Though it let go several veteran NBA writers, ESPN acquired
| Adrian Wojnarowski and his crew at The Vertical from Yahoo!
| Sports. There is no other way to read this: ESPN is committed to
| the NBA, and everything else can pretty much go to rot.
