This is why Pence may have been installed by those dealing with Trump as a poison pill for the rest of us. There are a lot of people who would like to see much of this country killed on moral grounds (as in, abhorrence to God!) to save this country as a (falsely) Christian nation.

You'd probably also have to get rid of the current Pope too, who is seen as one of the more Progressive Popes...

My point is that it doesn't matter. The "15 minutes of fame" will come, regardless of the situation. It was strong enough 20 years ago in the media (take it from me, I do know about this!), and that was long before social media and all that kind of stuff.

If your intention is to "shoot, shovel, and shush", you're not at that point yet in society -- and if your idea of eliminating that degree of criminal requires the "shovel and shush" part, then you have no deterrent to that kind of behavior. The best you have, and only in SOME cases, is the thought of prison rape -- and, even then...

It won't matter. They're dead anyway, and, at that point, it won't matter to them who they take with them.

If they're that useless, then look at it as a survival instinct. If they get thrown in the klink, it's 3 hots and a cot. If they succeed in robbing or worse, who knows what happens in that regard...

I think you misunderstand one thing: The freebies are given to keep you safe, Hugh. From people like me...

Then you have no choice but to roughly halve the population and have it out once and for all. That track might've worked if the Bonus Army offed FDR in the 1930's. Not when there are literally too few resources for too many people.

> It's not wrong to make people do their best to earn what they get.

Works well in theory. Not in practice where, in a society, you need to be connected and learn how to suck dick (or, as one businessman puts it, eat shit and like the taste of it) to succeed.

Hard work is badly overrated in a country where you need someone else to say yes to get ahead.

Then shoot them. Nothing short of that will work.

It is a wonder to me that Trump has not called for the abolition of the First Amendment yet. The longer he leaves the Press some approximation of "free", the more likely he literally (and after a legal process!!) hangs.

Then start shooting.

You really think I'm exaggerating when I say that, but, at that point, the only good liberal (to you) is a dead one. You can't convert a lot of these people.

You forget several things:

1) Many of these people are alive only because of benefits, cheap credit, and The New Deal. Eugenics (if not euthanasia) was actually a fairly popular means of dealing with the "useless" until the courts prohibited it. It was common practice to order welfare cases to be sterilized for the good of the common society -- in North Carolina, as late as 1977!

2) Much of American industry (and more than a few people) wanted the Nazis to take Europe and were willing to incorporate it here. One of it's offshoots was The Bonus Army, who tried to overthrow FDR before he could become President. This is why you get the infamous Prescott Bush Nazi ties -- because he was hardly alone in the American ethos. If the Bonus Army succeeded, we probably have concentration camps in this country to take care of the unemployed and unemployable.

3) This leads to the rise of the Tea Party, who probably believes America ceased to be great when it allowed the lessers to have rights. The final straw that probably put Trump over the top as someone who would act against the lessers rather than the rest of the Clown Car just talking about it was Obgerefell.

If liberalism must be defeated at all cost, you probably have to kill half the country. Not sterilize, not segregate, eliminate.

> What non-handicapped people on freebies think doesn';t matter - this

No, they'll kill YOU. That's the problem you don't get. The only reason you were able to get to work or do anything productive is that you paid for the peace.

As an example, the Federal government is fully in belief that I will kill people -- and, in fact, at least in one case, an important person (a former Trump contestant, BTW). I get a check (and was passed through much of the red tape for it) because they hope it will give me enough incentive not to kill people.

Yes, it's a bribe not to kill people like you.

And here's where we disagree. At some point, talking doesn't get it done.

The Tea Party was the start of that effort on the Right, the alt-Right's rise and Trump the logical results. Now, you've got people literally being led by White supremacists and carrying torches. This does not and CANNOT end without violence, on one or both sides of the equation.

I think our main difference is the belief that the useless will take care of (as in off) themselves given the chance. They might... But they'll take you with them and have ZERO QUALMS doing so.

> >This is why I never really discarded Trump THAT greatly, even during the campaign when most felt he could not, at any point, be serious about actually consummating a Presidency out of this!

So are his supporters. One of the main reasons "grab her in the pussy" won him the election (instead of what should've happened) is that his supporters have been informally codifying such a situation (which is what Trump was actually saying in the tape!!) for a very long time and want to take lessers and effectively destroy any sense of safety, effectively making some into cattle and killing off the rest.

ObRSFC: Without "grab her in the pussy", you have no football -- at ANY level.

> Maybe he could convince me that his methods will work - but he hasn't
> yet.

The reason he's a failure to the (at least alt-)Right is that the shooting hasn't started between the Army and the useless on American streets yet.

End of the day, THAT was why he was elected -- and that is the "AT ALL COST" you speak of. Nothing else will work, especially in the eyes of the Right.

You do realize you're talking about the man who said:

"See, in the good old days this doesn't happen," Trump told his fans, "because they used to treat them very, very rough. And when they protested once, you know, they would not do it again so easily. But today they walk in and they put their hand up and they put the wrong finger in the air at everybody and they get away with murder because we've become weak, we've become weak."

and

"I love the old days — you know what they used to do to guys like that when they were in a place like this? They'd be carried out on a stretcher, folks."

Why on earth would you expect anything but approval from Trump for those antics, given his own words?
"the_andrew_smith@yahoo.com" <agavinsmith@gmail.com>: May 17 08:39AM -0700

Because he was talking about disruptive assholes paid by democratic supporters who deserved an ass kicking.

In private, three administration officials conceded that they could not publicly articulate their most compelling — and honest — defense of the president for divulging classified intelligence to the Russians: that Mr. Trump, a hasty and indifferent reader of his briefing materials, simply did not possess the interest or the knowledge of the granular details of intelligence gathering to leak specific sources and methods of intelligence gathering that would harm American allies.

Here's the truth:
In 1993, President Clinton ousted William Sessions as FBI director after
Sessions refused to voluntarily step down amid ethical concerns. It was
the first and only time to happen in U.S. history. That is, until Donald
Trump fired James Comey.

Sessions, appointed by Ronald Reagan, had been under investigation by
the Justice Department's Office of Professional Responsibility during
George H.W. Bush's final year in office.
