A home run from Hundley pushes across two runs and that's the way it
stands thru the 3rd.

Like the rest of the rotation, Blach is going to have to pitch a
shutout to get a win, or, as ridiculous as it sounds, the Giants are
going to have to start hitting and score more runs.

Posey gets the day off.

Giants 2 Braves 0

Well, well, the slumping Belt just hit a home run in the bottom of the
3rd.

Giants 3 Braves 0

Blach gets in the spirit of the moment and singles in Williamson to up
the score and continue a hitting binge of sorts. That's right, they've
got three hits in the inning and six for the game. Heady stuff! Back
to the front of the batting order that hasn't produced a hit so far.
Span doubles in Blach and Williamson for two more runs. Nunez ends the
inning with a fly to center.

Giants 4 Braves 0

When scoring is as important as it is to this run starved team, a
missed run could be devastating. The Giants tend to plateau once they
get over a couple of runs. Make it ...

Giants 5 Braves 0

Giants score ANOTHER run and it comes on Hundley's third hit of the
game, scoring Belt.

Giants 6 Braves

Oh yes, Blach started to wilt and the Braves scored two runs in the
eight. Law came in and stopped the bleeding. Law is taking it into the
9th.

Braves get a run in the 9th and that's the end for them as Law goes a
bit longer than he should, so Melancon gets the last two outs.

Giants 6 Braves 3

All of the sudden the Cubs can't hit. Not exactly Kershaw they are facing.

That just proves how much the Giants suck. Today's game would be an
exception to that, until the Giants win tomorrow ... or not.

Its not a normal year, as the giants will most likely have to hold on to try to win this one. Blach is good for about 95 pitches.

They are almost at the end of their second game in L.A. and they have
yet to score since arriving in Smogville. I think Schwarber, Rizzo and
Schwarber haven't gotten a hit in the series yet.

It was said that a few times during the Cubs series that the Giants
pitchers pitched well, but made a few mistakes...which of course ended
up over the fence. So, I guess the Dodger pitchers aren't making *any*
mistakes. Is this really it? Are the Dodgers pitchers absolutely
perfect? Or are the Giants just full of bad luck in that when they make
the same mistake every other pitcher on any other team makes they always
have to pay for it? While pitchers on other teams somehow get a free
pass?

Yeah, Cain pitched well. The only positive takeaway from another
frustrating game.
