Are you forgetting something in your analysis? Just wondering?

Yeah, I forgot this:

2016:
Samardzija 12-11, 3.81 ERA
Mike Leake 9-12 4.69 ERA

2015 with SF:
2-5, 4.07 ERA

Which part didn't you understand again?

It's so tiresome talking to stupid people, you know. They like to
ignore all the bad stats and cherry pick only the good stats. It's
like talking to a 6 yr old. "Oh he's pitching good now. All the
bad pitching before doesn't matter."

Doesn't matter. 2 years too late. He's not a free agent after this
year. It was 2 years ago.

No he wasn't, you dumbass. Go look up the definition of "free agent",
since you've no clue what it means.

Easy ground out.

Posey's suddenly hitting like Arroyo.

Today, they even have the exact same stats:

Posey 0 for 3, 2 LOB
Arroyo 0 for 3, 2 LOB

Our current star and our (supposedly) future star, both stank.

It's a tough situation for the kid. You can see that he's got a good
eye because he can make the pitchers work, but he's seeing a lot
mature veteraans now. He's got to learn.

I think he needs a break back in Sacremento, where he can get back to
shake off the slump. He's not going to od it where Bochy's got him.

See, once in a while you can put on the optimistic hat too! :-)

Well, he was 0 for 16 against the Cubs. The other 0 for 2 came against
the Cards last Sunday (his last 2 ABs that day).

He's now 0 for his last 21, batting .186, threatening to go 0 for the
week! (Well he's already 0 for the weekdays, now going for 0 for the
weekend.)

P.S. I'm not sure about the decision to play Arroyo over Panik today,
but seems like the decision have been made to play him everyday no
matter what.

Might as well, if the whole team keeps hitting like this.

Yeah I seem to vaguely recall that about one of them but was too lazy
to look it up. I knew I should've! :-)

Well, just as I predicted, Cain pitched well at the comfort of AT&T,
against a team that seems to be swinging with pom poms. Good job,
Cain! You deserved a win today!

Cain's split:
home: 1.19 ERA, 3-0 (before today)
road: 8.28 ERA, 0-2

Have you ever seen such a crazy split? So it probably would've been
ugly had he pitched in Chicago against the champs.

Unfortunately the Giants also hit like the Braves... so Cain, just like
most of his rotation teammates this week, got cained.

When even Cain, who's been getting the highest run support this year,
didn't get any support, you know it's bad.

Hmm... maybe Boch can come up with a schedule that have Cain only pitch
at home?
ariess@bellsouth.net: May 26 09:52PM -0700

come on giants, lets not allow this to happen. Come up with at least 2 runs in the ninth.

They got an easy shutout.
John Walsh <jwalsh589@gmail.com>: May 26 04:35PM -1000

Just watching Belt swing and foul at two decent pitches and then swing
at one in the dirt, odds are there won't be many hits coming from the
Giants tonight. Nunez stole 2nd and Posey promptly erased him with a
grounder for the 3rd out.

Hopefully the Giants can go once through the lineup and figure out how
to get to a pitcher with a 3.99 ERA. "hopefully"

4th inning, pitches still down, 51 pitch count, 4 spaced hits and 2
K's.

Top of the 7th, no support from the batting order. A couple of hit,
runners on base and nothing to show for it in the 6th. Cain gives up 2
runs in a single and that should surely doom the light hitting Giants.

Giants 0 Braves 2

Absolutely lifeless. This team sucks in just about every way when it
comes to hitting. Another day, another loss.
ariess@bellsouth.net: May 26 09:05PM -0700

another play at the plate where the ball hits the runner and then the next guy scores. Cain gives up a hit to the opposing pitcher, giants now down 2-0. Giants who normally don't hit, are in a slump from their normal do not hit status. Back to the days of no run support for cain, even against the braves.
Jon Rossen <jonr17@comcast.net>: May 26 05:42PM -0700

Let's see if Cain can take advantage of this and not start giving up big
blasts over the fence to a Braves team with a HR total near the bottom
of the pack in the NL (12th out of 15). What I'm worried about is that
his pitches will be so fat and juicy and on a Tee which all will serve
to counteract all the pro-pitching forces. Looking at the Braves' team
stats I'm seeing that the Braves players with the top 3 HR totals that
aren't on the DL are Kemp, Inciarte, and Swanson, with 8,5, and 4
respectively. And of course there's Brandon Phillips with 3 who always
seems to screw the Giants. I'll be watching closely when Cain pitches
to these guys.

Pitch location looks good so far, yet I can see him staying far away
from the middle with dangerous hitters like Ruiz .320 and that's just
what he did, getting him with a grounder after Flowers single.

Considering the fact that he can't stay healthy and about all the
interest he generated were minor league offers from a couple of teams,
he's better off where he is.

Not having a full outfield is making a difference. Again, when Span
is healthy, that's one good outfielder.
