They should be surprised the PP has problems when the pointsman who dominates PP TOI couldn't hit a barn with a lob shot! Pointsmen are useless if they lack confidence playmaking, only shoot as a last resort, can't reposition very well to take advantage of open lane ways to the net. Sure there is a disconnect between the forwards and defence when a pass back to the point rarely ends up being passed or shot anywhere useful. When this happens the forwards start hanging onto the puck too long. Less thinking, more shooting! And CJ if your pointsman can't hit the net, how about chopping his PP time in half and try someone else! https://montrealgazette.com/sports/hockey/nhl/hockey-inside-out/in-the-habs-room-our-power-play-wasnt-working-gallagher-says

Trump cannot "abolish" (repeal) an amendment. This requires an
additional amendment via congress. So, you (and Trump) are factually
incorrect here, and it's quite a dangerous proposition... you'd like to
override the constitution based on some short-term political issue?

> include them in the nation, they're unlikely to have had the idea or
> had plans of giving citizenship to anyone who happens to come out

The constitution is not intended to serve short term interests (that
doesn't mean it hasn't happened.. see prohibition), it is to act as the
fabric of the laws and the nature of the people of the United States.
That is exactly *why* there are so few amendments.

But this is all besides the point, Trump's job is to uphold the
constitution, he *cannot* and will not repeal any amendments. And the
language of this amendment is crystal clear (unlike some).

This idea that an executive order can override the constitution is a
transparent attempt to appease the more ignorant portions of his base.

This is extreme hyperbole, essentially a strawman.

Brexit is an elite-led project for extreme globalisation, cloaked as a
protest against globalisation. But you can't see that.

The Moggs, Bones, Dysons etc are only concerned with turning the UK into
a low tax, low regulation, cheap labour, small government economy.
Leaving the EU is a step towards that goal.

And yet you simpletons go cheering them as they plot your economic

Vocal music is the soul of Indian music. You cannot do all the things with an instrument that can be achieved with the human voice and produce the same effect.

I was exaggerating. Maybe Jayashri is the top Carnatic vocalist. I had Sudha Raghunathan, T.M. Krishna, Sanjay Subrahmanyam, Nithyasree Mahadevan etc in mind, as also the yesteryear greats Madurai Mani Iyer (my favorite), Balamurali Krishna, GNB, MS Subbulakshmi, MD Ramanathan, Maharajapuram Santhanam, MLV, DK Pattammal and many more.

OK, you seem to have good knowledge :) GR is supposed to have been a superlative MD as were MSV and TKR, not to forget KVM. As for GR's songs I don't remember anything in particular off the top of my head but I have heard some in your list.
SliceAndDice <vishalkn@gmail.com>: Oct 31 06:37AM -0700

I was only referring to current vocalists, and I still think she is the best of the lot. None of them have her soulfulness and her aesthetic sense. Yes, there are many stalwarts from the last, including the triumvirate - MS, DKP and MLV. I like all of them for different reasons. But my favorite (based on admittedly few listenings) has been Brindamma. I haven't listened to your favorite, will try to catch up on his recordings.
SliceAndDice <vishalkn@gmail.com>: Oct 31 06:40AM -0700

Get out! Is that Kishore for real? He sounds amazingly like Talat. And true, he has done an exceptional job. Learn something new about the man every day.

Here is a Lata song by CR (another favorite I missed out on) where she sounds remarkably like Asha;

This song notwithstanding, I think CR brought out the fun side in Lata.

But my favorite (based on admittedly few listenings) has been Brindamma. I haven't listened to your favorite, will try to catch up on his recordings.

Madurai Mani Iyer -- Swara Chakravarthy. His B'day just passed (Oct 25). I just adore him. My origins are from Madurai as well. Will listen to Brindamma, since you say she is your favorite :)
DKP's eppadi paadinaro, wow. If you knew Tamil you would enjoy it more :)

Kanthan Karunai is of more recent vintage. Can't have been composed by GR. Off the top of my head, maybe KVM (of Sankarabharanam fame) or Kunnanudi Vaidhyanathan, the violin maestro of Chennai. Need to check on Google. Kunnakudi Vaidhyanathan composed the evergreen Marudhamalai Maa-maniye Murugaiyya, sung superbly by Madurai Somu. An all-time Tamil Nadu favorite.

Hats off to you for knowing so much about Tamil songs being non-Tamilian :)

And yes, Eppadi Paadinaro is awesome. Unfortunately, I do not understand it. :(

The real record is Laver's 200 imo.

Even if some tournaments are missing details / some are four-draws / etc ... yet still: very impressive.

Not to worry.

If right-thinking people like you and me get together, we can purge RST of these types and get back to tennis.

But this squabble you have had with Pelle over the first strike use of the "n-word"--you have to admit: he caught you with your epithets on the ground, still in their silos--got me to thinking while driving across the picturesque farmlands of the mid-west, on our return trip:

What's in a word?

The Yiddish term "schwartzer" (as in "Oy! Stop that schwartzer! He is a thief!") is virtually identical in meaning, intent, and derivation to the "n-word". Would it be best to also euphemize it, as with the n-word? It would then be the "s-word"?

What do you think, bob? Let's do everyone here a big favor and get this shit sorted out, for the sake of consistent usage. I'd ask Pelle to join us, but he has a limited understanding of colloquial American English, although he's certain it's otherwise.

Seems logical on the surface. Imo at least 1 of your parents needs to
be a citizen for you to have a claim, preferably both. If none of them
are then you are not a citizen imo.

Single words like "evil" out of the context they've been said in, don't
mean much. Weak effort, you gotta do better than that.

AFAIK, nobody else has condoned, incited physical violence. Other than
Trump. "I'd like to punch him in the face", if you do "I'll pay your
legal bills".

Pelle *never* backs anything up, classic NPC.

That's just it, Puddles. I don't KNOW either way.

In general, Puddles, in case you spend time pondering this, the reason
your "questions" don't get the time of the day is that they're inane.
Hope the one-liner above sheds some light on why. I'm not optimistic though.
