Quarterly Laker scoring leaders/notes (pluses OR/ST/BL; minuses TO/PF/oOR):

Q1 - Slow start for LA letting ORL get to the rim and not getting there enough
themselves - shooting 46% vs 50%; pluses 3/1/0; minuses 3/7/0. Randle 6,
Kuzma/Lopez 4. 25-29=-4Q.

Q2 - Still not good enough D, but only -7 at HT - shooting 47% vs 50%; pluses
3/3/0; minuses 6/3/1. Clarkson 9, Nance/Kuzma/Randle 4. 26-29=-3Q.

HT - Lakers need to pick up the energy esp on D & lower the TOs - shooting 47%
vs 50%; pluses 6/4/0; minuses 9/10/1. Clarkson 12, Randle 10, Kuzma 8,
Ingram 5. 51-58=-7H.

Q3 - Lakers fold in Q3 and allow 43! - shooting 48% vs 61%; pluses 3/2/1;
minuses 5/4/1. Clarkson 8, Randle 7, Nance/Ingram 4.
30-43=-13Q (81-101=-20).

Q4 - Lakers get down like 29 before closing at -22 - shooting 47% vs 56%;
pluses 2/1/0; minuses 2/4/2. Caldwell-Pope 9, Ingram/Ennis 4. 24-26=-2Q.

Lakers let ORL shoot 56% from 3 for an extra 18 pts while they shot 4-20 from 3.
Only 5 guys in DFs and Randle 1 RB short of a DD. Not sure how much was LA poor
D and ORL unconscious from 3. Very disappointing loss from the worst team in
the NBA. 105-127 Lakers lose by 22.

I think it was foolish of CJ to have pulled the goalie so early. I know they were down 2 goals but read in two factors, Montreal's very crappy back end puck control and Icing being of no concern of the Blues! I would have instead, benched the defence in favour forwards who can skate with the puck because what good is a defence that can't forecheck nor win battles for puck! Having an empty net is just too distracting for a team that can't play defence under that pressure. Get one goal first, save yanking Price as a last minute resort. Also if Max Pac isn't going to the net, yank him off the ice as well. Max Pac we want shots on goal, not more passing from you!

Yes, you've hit it!

Since Sirius didn't have the game (in English, at least),
I ended up pulling the plug on the sat radio and listening
OTA to KMOX for the game.

When they said that Price was pulled, I turned to look
at the radio (like that would do any good) and said "What
a MORON!" referring to CJ, of course.

Luck out with a 5 minute PP in the closing minutes, only
down two, but with a questionable defense corps, you DO
NOT PULL THE GOALIE!!! Jeez, Coaching 101, fer crying out
loud.

If Weber were healthy, he would have been a perfect one
to send out on this along with four forwards who actually
have a chance of scoring...not passing endlessly...SCORING.

What was that phantom deal for Patches that the Blues
supposedly are offering? Take it QUICKLY!

OTOH, if CJ is actually *trying* to make the team tank
into 30th place (I don't think they have a chance of
going as low as 31st, practically speaking), he's doing
a really bang-up job.

Nyssa, who figures that even the Canes are going to
beat the Habs next and the matinee weekend games are
toast

I would have instead, benched the defence in favour forwards who can skate with the puck because what good is a defence that can't forecheck nor win battles for puck! Having an empty net is just too distracting for a team that can't play defence under that pressure. Get one goal first, save yanking Price as a last minute resort. Also if Max Pac isn't going to the net, yank him off the ice as well. Max Pac we want shots on goal, not more passing from you!

Speaking of a crappy back end - check out this stat. The Habs are by far
the worst team in the league for defensive giveaways. There isn't
another team even close.

That said, I've noticed in the past that Montreal is a particularly liberal place for handing out the Giveaway stat. It used to be a Subban thing for me, but then as I delved into that I noted that they just hand out tons more than some other arenas for many players, both sides.

Montreal's D is visibly bad, and they visibly have had systems for years which involve just dumping the puck away to the other team for free. Some league statisticians will call that a giveaway and others won't.

FWIW, as a caveat. I think we all know the D is a problem either way.

Chuck <barberphoto411@gmail.com>: Jan 31 11:35AM -0800

What is classified as a giveaway? A cleared puck that turns over puck, or a puck turned over due to a fumble or take away, or a gift turnover to initiate a line change. Fans do not need stats to confirm what they can see, along with the air of desperation they show when they try to control the puck

I never would have suspected a man of such reverence and style, such as

But, he clearly states that he shops at Wal-Mart and then he begins to

This leads one to believe that, since Strzok is a Wal-Martian himself,
that he may be a meth abuser or even a heroin addict like most Wal-

It was not between the Russian government and the Trump campaign to undermine an American election. Instead, it was high officials from the department of justice, seeking to undermine the election by both fixing the investigation with HRC and obtaining an illegal FISA warrant.

Below is Devin Nunes powerful statement. Soon the American people will be able to judge both the evidence and coverup.

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes issued the following statement today:

"Having stonewalled Congress' demands for information for nearly a year, it's no surprise to see the FBI and DOJ issue spurious objections to allowing the American people to see information related to surveillance abuses at these agencies. The FBI is intimately familiar with 'material omissions' with respect to their presentations to both Congress and the courts, and they are welcome to make public, to the greatest extent possible, all the information they have on these abuses. Regardless, it's clear that top officials used unverified information in a court document to fuel a counter-intelligence investigation during an American political campaign. Once the truth gets out, we can begin taking steps to ensure our intelligence agencies and courts are never misused like this again."

Truth eventually will defeat lies, if there is sufficient time and courage. Soon we will see what the Dems and their lapdog press is made of. Hopefully a few brave people will break ranks and hold the DOJ accountable in all respects.

Isn't it possible that the foundation for the Mueller investigation is rotten to the core, especially if Rob Rosenstein is the main perpetrator of the false FISA warrants?

Isn't it also possible that the Mueller investigation will reveal nothing of consequence?

You live in a dreamworld. Trump incriminated himself on national TV when
he told Lester Holt that he fired Comey to derail the Russia
investigation. Then there was the memo written at his direction lying
about L'il Donnie's ridiculous meeting with all those Russians in Trump
Tower.

That's two counts of obstruction of justice right there, and that's
without the really juicy stuff. Like Trump's curiously profitable real
estate transactions with Russian oligarchs and organized crime figures.
Much of Mueller's legal team is made up of experts in litigating complex
financial crimes, like money laundering, tax evasion and the like.

https://goo.gl/JTSsbd

Mueller already has cooperating witnesses from Trump's inner circle. Their
testimony will directly contradict the demonstrably false claims of Trump
and his handlers and hangers-on. This thing is only going to get louder
and wilder from here on in.

They're "bravely" holding out hope that they're not going to get completely fucked over
with what's coming.

But to be honest, the impending bubble burst is looking more & more intimidating,
and its likely to do another bad job on the older worker's savings, particularly if
this one comes with a nasty inflation component. Trump's sent out some smoke
signals that he wants a weaker dollar to (in theory) help balance trade, but what
that really does is hurt the buying power of the middle class. For example, I've
already noticed that the US Dollar is off 3% vs the Euro just this month alone,
which is on top of the -11% in 2017.
