I'm frankly astounded that this thread has received so little response. The soul of this chatrum is dead. Maybe that's why she stopped posting here so long ago.

As of 3:52 pm EDT, the site says that $1000 has been pledged (original
goal was $500) in the last 24 hours. Hope this is accurate.

I think the response was to ring the cash register -- she made and exceeded goal
in no time.

It would help to know what she needed the money for.

Nevermind. Apparently, it's money for her to move. I guess she got a job where the employer isn't going to pay for her relocation?

She's been dealing with some personal problems and jerk landlords while
in-between jobs.

The main thing is that she's a friend of many who has a legit need for help.

Who are you? ($1)
dotslashderek@gmail.com: Aug 12 12:23PM -0700

I think you have to go dresden on pyongyang, and follow that up with a targeted bombing campaign against their military capabilities - including their leadership.

Use back channels to deal with china - no nukes ie fallout in your region, but you're gonna just look the other way while we end this regime and cripple their country's military capabilities.

Most of the normal folks in n korea - the farmers - are about as culpable here as hostages during a bank robbery. I think there's a chance here that what we tried in Iraq - cutting the head off the beast - might actually work pretty well - mostly because I don't know that the current leadership is suppressing even more radical elements in n korea - could be wrong.

Cheers.

I dunno. If any of the leadership survives long enough to communicate
with the farmers (or anyone else), they will never admit that Kim fired
the first shot. The leadership will claim the U.S. struck first and the
leadership will be believed, thereby validating all the propaganda that
has been spewed since the truce. I'm not suggesting killing as many as
possible, but those who survive will never be anything but unfriendly.

You agree they are foes. The pusillanimous
Kennedy and Johnson administrations did not
do their job.

To hell with those Commies in Hanoi.
Should have bombed them flat in 1963.

I disagree. We do not and should not forget schoolyard lessons.

Agreed, but at least it sends the message that we are not sending them a bunch goodies for their empty promises this time.

Thanks. The first is scholastic and helps
students develop self reliance.

The second does not seem to develop self-reliance,
but rather dependence on a highly structured environment.

I was in the first. We were expected to get things done on our own.

The ability to discriminate is fundamental.

You better tell the white nationalists that. They called this the "Unite the Right" rally. How disgusting and dishonest of them, right?

CNN often takes great pains to prove they are scum and that's it tough
for scum to be anything else

I sorta enjoy it when the little people think removing a 150 year old
memorial will change anyone's mind. Feed them a crumb once in a while.
