Kerber's results are no.1 worthy. The computer got it it right.
Completely fucked up with Pliskova though. Nothing in her record
warrants no.1 status.

Not just serving, I think he played even better than he did when he beat Federer in 2010 Wimbledon. The guy gave his all, he was great at defense ( by his standard), got a lot of ball that usually would go as winners, he mentally held together unlike in other matches. Bit unfortunate that he did not grab a set in this match and certainly had a chance in third only to see Fed bombed two consective aces past him.

Two aces, one service winner, another ace.

Specially when he is down in the score and break points.

Federer didn't win the title. Stop it.

Pillow is fine but spare his dog.

>>> I think Federer relax a bit after getting the break, he went into this mental walk about in the middle of the set with double faults, Berdych played some great points to break back and now has the confidence to push Federer, it may not be a bad thing as long as Federer get through this match. Federer need to mix up his shots a bit more with slice, angle and depth. The other thing I noted is Berdych is getting better with his defence, he is getting a lot of ball back in defensive position. Federer is trading blow with Berdych and I think it is a mistake.

Maybe he's wrong generation?

I'm sure you're happy, you're just a very different 'tennis fan' to most
people.

When Chris Lewis made the Wimbledon final v McEnroe, & Pioline Wimbledon
final v Sampras I was very disappointed & lost interest in watching.
You're the exact opposite - you pray for the weakest possible players
for Fed. I will never relate to that. It only makes sense if Fed is
your brother or something, but a true sports fan you most certainly are not.

But what has that to do with the Hungaro-Australian chick?

A bigger big hitter to come.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Very good play from Berdych today.
Sunday should be quite the battle.

Raonic, then Berdych.

Hope Fed will come with no nerves for the final. His level was not the best today, but he was incredibly clutch (the biggest difference between 2010-2015 Federer and 2017 Federer imo). Berdych fought hard and played very well and went out without a set. Gotta feel for him.

If Fed keeps up his level he should win in 3 or 4. He needs to avoid too many dips in form and especially be clutch like today.

Berdych played great match serving bullets on break points, this put pressure on Federer and he seemed to have realized he is in a real battle, so he pushed his gears higher causing him to miss some of his tactics in the match but probably gave him the two TB. In the third he lowered his gears again and played tactical set.

FO clay is a great indicator for Wimbledon grass though, no? :)))

Nadal had finals in AO and Miami during Fed's good phase, while Fed didn't
play at all during Nadal's super results.

#1 is something you have to earn.

Not sure how he is making this. Federer came unprepared in the AO, and beat Rafa in five sets after playing two five sets against Waw and Nish and four sets in the first round.

You need to tune in for Rafa in USO.
