Goran was a mental giant compared to Cilic.

Cilic is not completely out of it. If he can win a t/b maybe Fed tires
a bit?

Double oops - I read that as 'midget'.

This is what I really mean:

Goran was a mental giant compared to Cilic.

I think I'll go have a cry myself.

And look at Borg vs. Vilas these days too. Vilas looks haggard whereas except for the white hair, Borg hasn't changed that much (of course he did retire young, but still).

Yeah, Borg looks good too. Probably second best behind Edberg.

No, he isn't American!

No. He was talking positively about Roger saying how he's never seen a more graceful player, more talented player, etc.

Just saw the list of names on the wall. 2001 Goran Ivanisevic. Sampras might have won that title had his draw been slightly different.

Cilic reminded me of Ivanisevic today. Remember that Miami final Goran played after a nightclub injury (dancing on a table?) the night before? He walked around with the same pained look Cilic had today, as if beseeching the gods to bail him out.

True, there is nothing to dislike Cilic.

So far it's fantastic. Interesting to see if Cilic can settle the ship.
Tough to do if Roger can keep producing pockets of magic here & there.

Cilic visibly rattled early in 2nd - odd his serving stats are so low?

Some feel Roger is the Mozart of Tennis.

At 35 (almost 36), he's playing like this.

And they just flashed this: Roger is 82-3
when winning the first set.

Congrats to Roger for an awesome win.

Wow.

Great stuff from Roger. He hit 2 or 3 amazing shots that rattled Cilic.
He then blasted a powerful bh straight at him at the net in 9th game
that would shake anybody.

Roger has a game plan.

He's suggesting they play bo5, in which case a 3 set beatdown is
something like 61 62 60.

I'm with Raja on this one. Natalie Wood leaves her in the dust imo.
