Congrats. Seems to be a rare thing these days. And mia was only in elementary school when you started (and I was only about to enter high school).
dotslashderek@gmail.com: Jul 13 10:58AM -0700

Congrats - that's impressive.

Cheers.

Congrats! That does not happen too often anymore. Is it an electric utility?

Your right. It isn't analogous. What the Clinton campaign did was worse because they actually sent someone to the foreign country to get information from their government. Apparently dead on analogies fly over the head of stupid loonies.

The fbi is apparently also too stupid to see they're "dead on" the same.

Cheers.
plaidmoon@gmail.com: Jul 13 11:30AM -0700

Even if they are dead on the same, that still doesn't excuse it. Two wrongs don't make a right and all that. Prosecute both.

One comment from the page:

| When is someone going to mention that bleaching does not mean the
| coral is dead, only that the coral polyps, the actual cnidarian
| host and builder of the reef, have ejected the algae symbionts
| from the colony. After some interval, they take on new symbiotic
| algae, often of a different strain or species which is better
| suited to the then prevailing conditions. The impression is
| widely given this is a dying, and is unnatural, and permanent. It
| is none of those. It is how they survive stressful conditions. If
| the stress is long lasted, some coral polyps do eventually die.
| But even these dead skeletons can be, and often are, recolonized.

Makes you wonder why this didn't happen years ago.

Doug
dotslashderek@gmail.com: Jul 13 10:54AM -0700

What specifics are you capturing with "this", doug?

The wait time app and call center improvements are projects that started over a year ago. The other "better outcomes for vets" project they mentioned - the LUKE arm - was started a year or so after Obama took office.

The unrelated "efficiency improvements" - layoffs that have already happened, further proposed layoffs and shuttering offices and clinics - those are new, but don't have any relationship with the "quality of care" improvements mentioned elsewhere in the article.

(Those efficiency improvements will prolly turn out well, though - it's just too early to point to what the tangible outcomes to those will be other than reduced spending - hard to say whether there'll be a negative impact in terms of availability and quality of veteran care that'd offset the savings, or if it's pure fat being trimmed).

Cheers.

It is the way that Indians and Poles communicate, along with about
every other ethnic combination. English is the defacto world language,
which I am counting on for the next 3 months as I live in Europe...
