Wow, Bumgarner is doing his best Matt Cain imitation in the minors.

But yeah, if he's replacing Cain, then we won't even miss a beat. :-D

Bluejays said they will be sellers in the upcoming weeks. They mention the Giants and Cardinals are interested in Donaldson. Isn't he too expensive for the team and what will the Giants need to give up to get him?

Well, Cain's money will be freed up, and maybe Cueto's, so they have
money to spend.

Donaldson: signed thru 2017, arb eligible: 2018. Earliest Free agent:
2019.

He's already 31, so 32 next year. If they only plan to keep him for
2018, they can afford him.

Pence's contract will end after 2018, but Donaldson will be 33 in 2019.
And his next contract in 2019 will probably be too expensive.

He missed a month and a half this year and is having an off year. I
don't know what to think on this one.

Yeah don't know what the Jays want in return. If they're selling, then
they wouldn't want Cueto or Belt. Panik? Arroyo? Cain? LOL.

Yep. But Cain fanboys look at that as 'fake news'. In their world, Cain
is the victim. They take what happened to him in his first 3-4 seasons,
pitching for a shitty team, and then extrapolate it to the rest of his
career overlooking the fact that HE is the one who squanders leads and
runs by coughing up damaging HRs left and right. The 'poster boy'
example of that is the 5th game of the NLCS against the Reds. Giants
got him a 6-0 lead in most part by Posey's GS off of Latos and Cain
proceeded to turn it into a nail-biter.

Cain may have been THE HORSE, for some portion of his career. But to be
honest he's really been HORSESHIT for a lot of it as well. It all evens
out.

Well said.

... Belt strikes out, Pence lines out and Tomslinson scores from 3rd.
Buster walks (intentional). Hwang gets a fat pitch from Norris and
singles to center, driving in Hernandez.

Blach gets a 2 run lead to work with in the botom of the 3rd.

Giants 2 Royals 0

3 more runs on a Belt single and a Pence triple. Decent pitch count
for Blach, 1 walks, 1 K

Blach in the bottom of the 7th with a good pitch count of 80, 2 K's
and 1 BB. That's when he starts weakening. In comes the bullpen.

Blach gets rung up for 3 runs, but Kontos comes in after 2 runs and
gives up a single. In comes Okert, getss a strikeout and Bochy just
has to screw with things and brings in Gearrin who does what Gearring
does best, he throws a while pitch to move the runners along.
Ordinarily he's plunk a batter or give up a home run, but it's early.
So he walks the next batter and gives up a single for the 3rd run. A
sac fly shaves the lead again.

Strickland in, shuts down the Royals in the 8th. Come to think of it,
where the hell is Span? Hernandez is in CF. Dyson either saves it or
loses it. Dyson gets the save, Blach gets the win.

Giants 5 Tigers 4
