Haha yep. Finally a rookie who didn't flop. Where was he the 1st 2
months? They've tried just about everyone before trying him out in LF.
Although... he's only done it for about a month. It'd be interesting
to see if he can sustain it.

It's very unusual to get it on the hand twice in a short amount of
time. In this case it sounds like he got hit in 2 straight games.
Usually people get hit somewhere on the body or legs where it's very
hard to get out of the way. But a hitter's hands are somewhere behind
his right ear (for a righty) at the batting stance. People usually
have quick enough reflexes to move their hands out of the way of a
pitch, unless they're already swinging the bat, then they're swinging
at a bad pitch, and moving their hands towards the bad pitch. My guess
is it happens more often to an aggressive hitter than a disciplined
hitter, unless you're facing Chapman type velocity. Probably not too
many of them in triple A.

So we got the fireworks version, as most of you probably predicted.
The Giants gave Cain an early lead with Pence's HR, and Cain promptly
gave it right back by giving up a HR and then 2 more runs. Then the
Giants bailed him out once again by tying the game with Crawford's 2-
run HR, but as if Cain was determined to lose the game, he immediately
gave up 2 more runs to seal the fate.
The Giants got cained again.

The old reliable, winning streak killer, Matt Cain.
But you all know that already.
Add to that it was Tuesday the bowling jinx, so the Giants never had a
chance. Not even against a last place team.
The Giants got cained.

5 earned runs given up by Cain, 5 hits and two runs short by the
Giants. More like life before the "streak" and probably life after the
Giants 3 Tigers 5
Relief was good and Pence hit a homer, but otherwise, not good.
