Gotta tip my hat to Rafa on clay. He's perfection personified. With his
looping topspin forehands, he gets all the time to get back to neutral
position on every point, serving or receiving. Add to that negligible
UEs, the ability to retrieve practically everything thrown at him and
the amazing ability to turn defense into offence in the blink of an eye
and hitting winners on full run, he presents an unsurmountable challenge.

I'd say a matured Thiem will have a better chance against an older, slower
Rafa. I thought Wawa will give Rafa a run for the money, but Rafa had not
just one but 2-3 answers to everything Wawa threw at him.

Also loved the gesture of FO organizers to invite Toni and have him hand
over the trophy to Rafa, to acknowledge his efforts in the staggering
achievement of Rafa.

On this ng, you have to use the word "man" loosely. :)

:) I just wanted to use this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdjL8WXjlGI. Don't ask me why.

I think Trump will issue an executive order instructing that Sharapova be
given a direct entry in the main draw at USO. She's Russian, y'know! :-)

I didn't state that they had been convicted because clearly that hasn't
always been the case.

I'll put this bit back.

"The president would be agreeing that Flynn has committed a serious
'crime'. I doubt he'd want to do that."

It could, and no doubt would, be denied that a 'crime' was being
acknowledged, but what would public opinion be like?

But, she clearly does like beer, there are many photos, including on
her recent Mexico visit.

Well technically federal officials can be impeached for, "treason,
bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors". A high crime or
misdemeanor is open to interpretation by Congress. In 1970 the House
Minority leader stated, "an impeachable offense is whatever a majority
of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in
history."

IOW if Congress decides it's a 'crime' it is a crime.

This was the 50th French open tournament. Nadal has won 10 of those.

Yup.
Court_1 <olympia0000@yahoo.com>: Jun 11 08:50PM -0700

Stop posting all of this crap about Nadal. On this ng everybody hates Nadal except for TT(who idolizes him) and myself. You're wasting your time. Nobody thinks he's the GOAT except TT and his views about Nadal are delusional. Bob, Whisper, etc. don't really like Nadal, they only want him to surpass Fed's records because they resent Fed so much for stealing Sampras' thunder.

Please go to your room and be quiet!

It's well known that grass court greats like McEnroe, Edberg and Becker stopped Lendl. Let's imagine for a second that McEnroe got injured in 1983 semis. And Lendl goes on to destroy the hapless Chris Lewis in the final. And the rest would be history. He wouldn't be too desperate and nervous to win it. Actually win AO on grass and not skip any FO. One match could change an entire career.

Did I miss that post in this sea of threads today?

Nadal smoked Stan with a scoreline of 6-2, 6-3, 6-1 and you said if it was a thrashing you would admit you were wrong about Nadal's current form.

I'm waiting. Can you admit it? Are you capable? Nothing half-assed either like he's in good form but.....

Man up.

Indeed. As you well know, Fed/Lubo/Luthi planned it that way. Though I can just as easily see NickyK or young Zverev or even Raonic blasting him out before a final. If Fed gets to the final, he'll be hard to stop.

Djokovic has a claim to HC BOAT?

He has 6 AOs and 2 USOs vs Federer's 5 AOs and 5 USOs. Djokovic isn't the hc BOAT/GOAT/SCHMOAT/or whatever else you want to call it.
