What idiocy causes you to believe the USA should not "get a better
deal" as Trump stated?

What stupidity causes you to think Trump has just ended all action on
climated control forever?

So a friend of mine asked me to co-sign her car note for about $10000 (she put $6000 down, but her credit is crap)

So on May 17 we went to the car dealer and gave them all the needed info, and they came back almost instantly approved (her interest, if they would have even given her the loan was going to be 18%, with me on there it dropped to 4.25).

So we signed the purchase agreement, the loan papers, all the disclosure stuff, and he even came waaaay down on the extended warranty so I told her to take it (5 yr powertrain full P/L for $1000 on a Ford Taurus, down from his original quote of $2600, which shows you how much profit is written into those things).

All done, we drove the car home.

Two weeks later, today, they call her and say the loan can't be approved. She was driving and wanted them to talk to me anyway, but they asked her where she worked (greene co) and where I farmed(she told them greene co, which is true but I also farm in Dallas co which is where dealership is)...they then said they can't do the loan.

I presume it was a Credit union and maybe they just got to it, or they audited the loan and maybe their parameters only allow loans for those who live or work in Dallas and a few other counties.

So I don't think its going to be a problem...but...

Can they renege on a contract? We never gave false info, ie, they knew where we were from and where we worked. To me, this is their F/U and if there is a problem, to effing bad. This is why we sign contracts. If the tables were turned, its highly doubtful they would cancel the contract at our say so...

it will be interesting tomorrow.

My first thought is that it is not a wise move to co-sign for anyone
unless you are prepared to pay off the balance.

In my opinion a seller has the right to refuse to sell to anyone
although not after being told the deal was done.

Leader? More like a figure head of a government that is in chaos.

He just seems to enjoy pissing off our allies because he can. He'll want
something from them, like troops for Afghanistan. They will probably
tell him eff-off.

It's not the job of you and I and everyone on our street and in our town
and cities to give China and India trillions of dollars so that they can
build thousands of coal plants while stupid Muricans are punished and not
allowed to build any.

I don't have that kind of money. I wonder why others have almost come to
believe that money made by simple, hardworking, honest Americans is their
money and they are entitled to it when they don't live here?

Climate redistribution of wealth has nothing to do with climate. You've
been tricked like a dupe, or have you? Go give your money to a heroin
addict or a wino and get immediate satisfaction. If they aren't laying
there farting in your neighborhood and are up moving around and doing
things, it's good for the environment.

To be fair, he doesn't sell *many* cars. And he made a couple hundred million off the sales of internet companies (paypal, mainly) before he did anything with cars.

Completely self-made, currently worth 15 or so billion. Didn't, you know, have Dad to float him a million here or there when he needed bailing out.

Heck, you can almost predict whether a US billionaire is progressive or conservative just by knowing if they were self-made or came from money.

Cheers.

Neither was Rome built in a day nor can the chaos caused by 4S
liberals over the previous 8 years be corrected quickly.

Foreign Aid didn't buy us very much. Once paid it is often succeeded
by eff-off.

Bringing the total number of GM jobs eliminated since trump won - just in Michigan and Ohio - to over 5k.

How is that possible?

(Before anyone takes that question seriously, it's possible because the idea that the GOP was going to somehow magically restore middle class manufacturing jobs in the Midwest was always on the shelf in that one section... what was that section, again? Right, "Fantasy").

Cheers.

Well, the jobs weren't going to come back until he kicked out all the illegals and pulled out of NAFTA. I think he's still working on both of those.

Apparently, a few jobs opened up at the Saratoga backstretch yesterday:
