He had a few good years, enough to earn a huge contract.

Similar to Lincecum's career trajectory.

You only hope the same thing doesn't happen to Bumgardner after he gets
his next contract.

Then again, the way Giants drafts have gone this decade, you only hope
they can get a couple of prospects to be good for a few years, enough to
get big contracts.

Well he was until he gave up 2 singles and Cespedes is up with 2 out.
He gets Cespedes to end the 3rd. Along comes the 4th inning and there
goes the fatal home run on the slider gone astray. It's going to cost
him if the Giants don't score.

Giants 0 Mets 1

Belt evens things up with 415 ft homer to center. So Cueto is
temporarily off the hook for the loss, unless, he goes out and gives
it right back. He's at 105 pitches and counting.
All that still amounts to 4 hits from the Giants.

Giants 1 Mets 1

They just praised Dyson not long ago, so he lets the got to his head
and gives up a triple, walks the next batter and now faces Cespedes
with none out. Sounds familiar for the anyone called in from the
Giants' bullpen. Ugh!

He gets the strikeout and Bochy pulls him for Okert? After 4 hits and
3 runs yesterday, he puts in Okert today? Oh you can tell what's
coming next. Single for Bruce and Dyson gets charged with the run.
He's Gearrin in disguise. Kontos comes in, gives up a double and
Dyson gets charged with that run.

Giants 1 Mets 3

Cueto won't lose this one.

Crick comes in for the 9th and it looks like Bochy has given up. Crick
gives up a triple to start the inning, follolws with a single and tops
that off with a wild pitch that scores the 2nd run of the inning.

Crawford singles in Belt to end the scoring and the Giants add another
one to the loss column.

Giants 2 Mets 5

0-3 for the "home grown" new Giants 3rd baseman so so far. Hope they
don't ruin him by leaving him up in SF if he has a tough time.

The broadcasters, are almost announcing the game as if it were the Met's playing against some generic unknown team.

They're not unknown, Wayne. They're the Giants, the worst team in
Major League Baseball. :)

florida did not put W into office. The supreme court did. When the actual recount was made and published by the consortium of newspapers and news organizations. Gore had 22,000 more votes. Of course the Bush brothers and father ran an almost perfect CIA type election to steal it, and they were the ones who went to the federal government and use the courts. They also removed over 75 thousand eligible voters from the roles, the majority of whom were democrats. My politically nutty barber, is from the Northeast originally. His thesis is that the team chemistry just was broken during the Duffy trade. It is not as if they were terrible before they got Duffy. He has been hurt anyway, but who knows if there is any merit to his position. If he can believe what Trump says he does lose a ton of credibility.

>enough is enough, since last year's all star game this team has sucked.

What is he to do, Wayne? If the hitting works, the pitching sucks. If
the pitching is halfway decent, they don't hit. If both work, the
bullpen screws them. They gave Bochy shit to work with.

Bumgarner returning to the rotation might be the biggest boost the
team could get this year. Otherwise, it's too late to do more than
turn off the television and radio and think about other things.

The only one less motivated than cain is you.

this team is motivated to score 11 runs when the opponent scores 12, and motivated to score 1 run when their opponent scores two, and if the giants score 6, the pitching staff is motivated to give up 7, They are not working the opposing pitcher as well as they did last year. It is almost an entire team of under performers especially when it counts. Posey has been great, except in RBI opportunities. Even though the team is not great in OBP, his RBI/per RBI opp, ie; with runners in scoring position is way down, and not even close to what it should be for a 300 hitter. Belt is hitting way below average, and crawford in not that far below his usual par, but he is below his usual production. Panik is doing better than last year as is Span, Pence so far has been much worse than career numbers in the field and AB. He is a motivator though. Cueto being a bit squeezed today. He is giving up way too many homers, and he is having a sub par N.L. year for himself.
