Awesome Giants <Giants@sf.giants>: Jun 24 05:37AM

I recall wayne was wetting his pants over Mike Leake not that long ago,
but suddenly he's totally shut up, so I thought I'd look up Leake.

Ah, no wonder...

Mike Leake:
April 3-1 1.35 ERA
May 2-2 3.09 ERA
June 0-3 5.32 ERA

Moral of the story: don't wet your pants over 1 month of stats.

Especially when he did this last year:

2016: 9-12 4.69 ERA

And as a Giant in 2015?

2-5 4.07 ERA

> I bet Cueto can't wait to leave this dumpster fire team.

Well, according to one article, he's open to coming back, but he's
planning to opt out regardless to get a bigger contract, and he doesn't
think the Giants will be willing to pay him more money than they're
now.

Whether he's telling the truth is another story.

And can he really get more than $20M/yr after a down year? Not sure,
but I guess it's possible.

But now it seems like he'll be gone by the trade deadline for sure.

I just don't like teams giving these opt-out contracts. The team is
screwed either way.

Who's next in line from the minors?
Awesome Giants <Giants@sf.giants>: Jun 24 05:22AM

After sweeping the Giants, they've now lost 3 of 4, out of 1st place.

Arenado 0 for 4 tonight vs the bums (he batted .500 against us).

Sounds familiar?

5 doubles in one inning? Is that a record? Blach is giving up doubles
like Cain is giving up HRs.

Blach hasn't been pitching well lately. If even Blach is falling off
the wagon, then there's really no bright spots left on this team.

Crawford in the 6th inning would've had a grand slam in many ballparks,
and at least a double in most ballparks. But here, it's just a
harmless sac fly.

In the 9th a Met absolutely crushed one off Melancon, would've been way
out in any other park. But here it's an off-the-wall double.

A run in the first and another run in the second inning. Blach is
already at 37 pitches in the 2nd and he's got two outs. Yes, the Mets
are also out hitting the Giants 7-2 ... so far. Okay, he's come
completely unglued. Righetti gives him a talk and he promptly gives
up a 2-run homer to Cespedes

Giants 5 Mets 2

7 runs for Blach, Gearrin gives no runs of his own or Blach's. Okert,
just up from Sacmento gives up 3 runs in 1 inning. Oshit comes in and
feeling cheated, gives up a run on a homer. The bullpen reeks as
usual.

Yes, that was a major score typo with the first score.

Giants 4 Mets 11
