If we get some serious young players or top prospects it could be a move. But It is actually too early to give up. Seems unlikely, but a few good weeks and we could be 6 games back at the allstar break, and that is not out of it.

But the trade deadline is in about a month.

They held on to win today but the way things are going, they're likely
to be a deeper hole than now.

His salary will not balloon. He'll be making the same amount in the
next 4 years as this year - $21.8M.

He was awesome last year despite a terrible 2nd half offense - 18-5,
2.79 ERA. He probably should've had 23+ wins easily with a league
average offense in the 2nd half.

This year he's obviously not doing great. So the question the Giants
are pounding on is which Cueto will show up long term. And will they
be able to find a better replacement if they trade him.

And he kept telling us he's had the "wrong NG" problem solved. Ha!

Samardzija is kinda like Cain, not worth defending, but just wanna
point out what the cain fanboy is doing here. Samardzija gave up 3
runs, which is not great but not bad either, yet this cain fanboy
clown blames him for this game. Then the next day Cain totally
stank up the joint, and not a word was mentioned about him. Bias to
the max. What a sorry ass. :-)

Also, people with a brain don't use win/loss records to judge a
pitcher anymore, only the dumbasses do that, because W/L record
depends a lot on run support. You'd think the cain fanboys know
that since they use that as an excuse every chance they get for
Cain, even invented the word "cained" just for this purpose. Can
you say hyprocrite? LOL.

Case in point: With a decent offense, Samardzija should've gotten a
win or at worst a no-decision on Saturday. And Cain totally
deserved a loss but got a no-decision. He even would've gotten a
win had he been able to hang around for a few more innings.

And Bumgarner is 0-3 even though he has a 3.00 ERA, which shows how
worthless W/L records are. Cain's ERA (5.22) is almost a whole
point worse than Samardzija (4.31), yet Cain has a better W/L record
due to better run support.

And shockingly, Samardzija right now has a better ERA than Cueto,
Moore, and Cain. He only trails Blach.

ERA
Blach 3.64
Samardzija 4.31
Cueto 4.33
Cain 5.22
Moore 5.28

And even more shockingly, Samardzija's beating everyone on WHIP at
the moment:

WHIP
Samardzija 1.121
Blach 1.150
Cueto 1.284
Moore 1.507
Cain 1.652 (Cain fanboys, close your eyes...)

In case you think I'm a Samardzija fan, I'm not. But if someone is
doing well, I think he deserves the credit, just like Cain did in
April.

Apparently, the Minnesota bullpen sucks worse than the Giants'
bullpen. 17 hits and 13 runs for the Giants? Uhu! Giants score 4 in
the 7th and 5 in the 8th.

Of course the Giants have to make it difficult by replacing a bum like
Dyson with bum like Morris. Stand by ... double, single, error and 1
run in before they turn to Morris.

He gets 1 out and uncorks a wild throw to allow another run for the
Twins. A groundout get the Twins another run!

Giants 13 Twins 8

Game over! Oshit gets the win.

Not a word about Cain when he sucks, as expected from the cain fanboy.

Cain was supposed to be good at home and sucks on the road, but not
this time.

So, this is what happens when the Giants get on the board first and
score runs for Cain. He coughs them back up then later on loses the lead.

So, let's agree to just STFU with regards to the word 'Cained'. He
squanders leads given to him so who cares if sometimes doesn't get any
run support? It all ends up being the same.

'Shut-down inning' is not in Cain's vocabulary.

That seems to be endemic with this team. Samardzija got steaked to a
lead and lost it in the 4th and 5th innings. He got Samardzija's when
the team took the day off in the batter's box. :)

Oh you know very well the 2 cain fanboys are never gonna stop making
excuses for Cain! :-) Trust me on this one.

Full speed, 30 pitches off the bullpen mound. That's up 10 pitches
from Friday's session.
