I note that apparently Trump's advisors have suggested he gets a new
lawyer - that is one who hasn't been associated with him, his companies
or his campaign in the past.

No, they are smarter than the others who don't know.

And please let's stay polite.

I've already commented on what "loyalty" meant to him, he's a non
standard politician, a manager known for screening people through
intuition.

And as for obstructing justice, saying Flynn was a good guy,
that's not something you're exactly surprised to hear him saying,
are you? He says that publicly too.

And firing the man whom democrats wanted to be fired anyway and
who's an investigator constantly on the front pages, well it
seems appropriate.

Whatever.

God forbid that Americans actually elected president who's not
necessarily a Russia basher. Impossible. They must have been
tricked into, hacked, coerced, etc.

The whole hoax is totally pathetic, really pathetic.

Yet you were quite happy and silly enough to support Hillary despite disasters such as Syria, Libya. Trump is in no way dumber than that. Also you didn't mind Obama being China's poodle.
The Iceberg <iceberg.rules@gmail.com>: May 19 06:24AM -0700

The best is seeing the bunch of self-proclaimed experts proved wrong yet again when Trump won + it was a great relief that incompetent overrated political types like Hillary were given a good beating.

Indeed.

Here's hoping Rafa can make Fed cry like a baby 1 more time - for old

There is less time to react when it's darker. You never want to play an
aggressive big hitter in fading light. It's hard enough in bright
daylight when you can see everything clearly.

Federer is a baseliner too, but he hits the ball earlier, harder & with
more variety than Rafa. That's a nightmare to face in fading light.

Big advantage to Federer imo.

You have a weird concept of 'facts'. For most of us facts represent reality. Your 'facts' apparently represent your own personal perception.

Or maybe because you have no legitimacy when discussing Federer, as pointed out many times before.

Thanks for pointing that out. That's obviously more difficult in poor light than waiting for the ball and playing it safe(r), which is my whole point.

No angle. I call it as I see it.

My idea of a 'good analyst' is not necessarily someone who reconciles
with my views or shows no bias (we all have biases), rather someone who
backs up their posts with logic. Real logic that's *relevant to the
discussion on hand*.

A good poster can become a bad poster, & vice versa. You're judged on
the posts you submit, not on past history or 'personality'.

Caught an interesting interview on the radio today. Some psychologist
was making the point it's all about 'relative' wealth, ie how well
you're doing compared to your neighbors/peers.

They conducted a survey & asked the question:

'What would you prefer - doubling your income but your friends/family
quadrupling theirs, or a modest increase in income but greater than your
peers?'

Most wanted to be seen as more 'successful' than their associates &
opted for the lower income. Surprised me a little. I'd take the extra
cash, screw what others are earning.

I think I once caught the very beginning of it but didn't continue with it. It seemed silly and unfunny from what I recall. Gary Cooper had to have been one of the most wooden Old Hollywood actors. I can't figure out his appeal. Also, Cooper and Stanwyck was a terrible combo IMO--zero chemistry. I'm not much of a fan of hers either though. Given all of that and considering we have little in common in terms of most movies, you'll probably like it. Then again, I didn't watch much of it so perhaps it got better?

This newsweek so far:

Monday: Trump asked Comey not to investigate Flynn.

Tuesday: Trump shares highly classified info with Russians during their
white house visit

Wednesday: Special prosecutor appointed to investigate Trump and Russia.

Thursday: 18 previously undisclosed communications between Trump
campaign and Russians.

Friday: Trump goes to Saudi-Arabia to negotiate oil prices lower in
order to help Putin?

Rafa has almost no chance winning it. He looked terrible against Jack
Sock. What a ballbashing contest it was. (seriously)

He'll probably be crushed by Thiem today and if not then Djokovic
tomorrow. All is lost.
