The trade talks between China and the US did not start after
Xi's visit. They started long before he was even elected
president.

No matter. Trump will take, and be given the credit by his sheep.
Alan Baker <alangbaker@telus.net>: May 14 04:12PM -0700

...said Eric Trump to writer, James Dodson:

'"Trump was strutting up and down, talking to his new members about how
they were part of the greatest club in North Carolina," Dodson says.
"And when I first met him, I asked him how he was — you know, this is
the journalist in me — I said, 'What are you using to pay for these
courses?' And he just sort of tossed off that he had access to $100
million."

$100 million.

"So when I got in the cart with Eric," Dodson says, "as we were setting
off, I said, 'Eric, who's funding? I know no banks — because of the
recession, the Great Recession — have touched a golf course. You know,
no one's funding any kind of golf construction. It's dead in the water
the last four or five years.' And this is what he said. He said, 'Well,
we don't rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of
Russia.' I said, 'Really?' And he said, 'Oh, yeah. We've got some guys
that really, really love golf, and they're really invested in our
programs. We just go there all the time.' Now that was [a little more
than] three years ago, so it was pretty interesting."'

A footnote at the end of the article says that on reflection Dodson
says that this happened in 2013, not three years ago.

Very revealing article though. Especially what Trump said about
Arnie, and Arnie's response to Dodson.

...but I'm betting that suddenly they'll declare him to be incredible:

'American democracy is separately "under assault" from President Donald
Trump and Russia, the former U.S. intelligence chief warned Sunday,
expressing dismay over the abrupt firing of FBI director James Comey
amid a probe into Moscow's meddling in U.S. elections and possible ties
with the Trump campaign.

As Trump works to fast-track Comey's successor, lawmakers from both
parties urged him to steer clear of any politicians for the job and say
he must "clean up the mess that he mostly created."

"I think, in many ways, our institutions are under assault, both
externally -- and that's the big news here, is the Russian interference
in our election system," said James Clapper, the former director of
national intelligence. "I think as well our institutions are under
assault internally."

When he was asked, "Internally, from the president?" Clapper said,
"Exactly."'

OMG you are as bad as Trump and his map.

Everyone knows what the results were. You misrepresent them as badly as
Trump.

It is somewhat irrelevant and ambiguous. You can only state what
registers voters who cast their vote did. I expect that the numbers are
not statistically significant to suggest what would be the result in a,
non tactical, straight popularity vote.

Unsurprisingly not quite what was billed.

In fact she did not. She made the final determination. The essence

reality.

You are FACTUALLY INCORRECT.

What is it about this article that you disbeleive?

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/02/us/politics/loretta-lynch-hillary-clinton-email-server.html

You see how she didn't recuse herself.

"The attorney general's response did little to quell a political
tempest in Washington, with some Republicans calling for her to recuse
herself from the case - a step she said she was not going to take."

That's right "a step she said she was not going to take."

Even Ms. Lynch's explanation of how she planned to distance herself
from the case - without recusing herself -

"- without recusing herself -"

required further clarification. "The case will be resolved by the team
that's been working on it from the beginning," she said in Aspen. But a
Justice Department spokeswoman, Melanie Newman, noted afterward that
even if Ms. Lynch accepted the recommendation of her staff, she would
be the one making the decision.

"She's the head of the department," Ms. Newman said, "and with that
comes ultimate responsibility for any decision."

Of course if you have evidence to the contrary...

...else just keep blowing harder and let moderate enjoy your pain.

I hadn't realised. I must be registered.

Here is one particular point raised regarding beef. Seems Mr Trump, not
unusually, is claiming credit for something that was agreed months ago.

"They got played," was the blunter assessment of one former US official.

We are rewarding China before stopping their massive trade cheating
Dan DiMicco, former campaign adviser to Mr Trump.
The "early harvest" deal rolled out on Friday saw China agree to resume
imports of US beef that were suspended in 2003, in a move that US
cattle ranchers hailed as "historic" but which Chinese leaders had
already agreed to last September.
