Just for the record, the voting rights act was not struck down. There was a provision that made certain southern states get pre-approval from the Justice Department if they made any change to their voting system. The Supremes curtailed that system. All of the VRA protections remain in place. They are now enforced in court, like every other right.

Which means 3-4 election cycles after the rights violation was committed... which is what the GOP is counting on.

You really should have a clue before calling others morons. This is not about people voting in two states. Party bosses get lists of registered voters and note the ones that have moved out. They then send someone to vote under that now bogus registration. This is exactly the type of nearly undetectable fraud that voter ID is meant to address.

Judging from how the party around here handles their mailing list, that kind of stunt would be way beyond their ability.

Do you have any evidence this has actually happened anywhere but your fevered imagination?

My dad was a hunter his whole life and I hunted up until a few year ago. He hated trophy hunters and his reasoning was valid. Hunting is for food....period. The pleasure he got was "putting food on the table" not killing for bragging rights to the biggest.

Sounds like what I told our sons - you kill it, you clean it, we eat
it.

I averaged catching more than 100 bass per year for at least 17 years.
All but 2 were put back in the water - a 5# and a 10#. They are
hanging on the wall behind me.

My bachelor cabin was next to a boat launch. One day I was taking my walk when a fisherman asked me to take a picture of him with his catch so he could prove to his buddies that he caught it. I did and wondered why he needed the picture as proof, and then he walked over to the water and released them all. Cool.

Wasn't disruptive at all, didn't delay the proceedings. I think they demonstrated in the least disrespectful way possible.

My commencement feature then-VP Gerald Ford coming back to his alma mater. It should have been a triumphant time for him, returning to campus as VPOTUS. Unfortunately he chose that venue for making his first public statements in support of Nixon; he indicted that while the truth would come out, there wasn't much to see with this whole Watergate thing-- it's just 'public opinion' creation that we shouldn't think represents truth. Well all hell broke loose at that point, with many students jumping up, shouting and leaving. Fights broke out in the aisles of Crisler Arena between students and parents of other students. The booing was so loud it drowned out the words Ford was saying.

Now that is what rude and disrespectful is. Of course I thought it was rude and disrespectful for Ford to make a political statement at my graduation...

Sen Amy Klobuchar was the speaker at my daughter's graduation. She used the occasion to speak more than a bit politically - naming Trump specifically - as part of her overall speech. Got a few cheers too - to no great surprise given the SPLAC the cheesedaughter attended.

I didn't feel the need to walk out. Sure, I'm not a Trumpkin, but I still bummed about some of her remarks. But it wasn't about me - it was about the kids graduating.

Maybe I'm the only curmudgeon bothered by this - fuck it, I'm running with it. Time and place for everything.

At my college graduation the speaker was the governor of the state, who used the occasion to inform the schools Board of Visitors that heads would roll if they didn't make some changes he wanted.

Or so I heard. We were too busy partying to really listen.

My parameters need to be cited...

I am not in favor of Russians meddling with our election.
HOWSOMEDADGUMEVER if that is what it took to oust the socialist party,
