Way back when, not Hogan or Nelson, pros drove Caddys and drank a lot
of booze - that's when they played well. I spoke a number of times
with a couple of pros (Hamiltons) who owned a 36 hole course about 40
miles away.

Bob has a shaved wedge that he would take bets that he could stand a
few feet from a telephone wire and hit it over the top - almost
straight up. I never saw him do it but he never had any takers I heard
of.

What a shame to see such a talent hit the skids.

tl;dr It's called ripping off recipes. And it's always been how the restaurant industry works, no matter what race ethnicity or country you're talking about. Get over it, Mexicans have. And they do it too btw.

The funniest thing is that the back of the house of every restaurant in America is heavily populated with Hispanics (mostly Mexican). That General Tso's Chicken you just had? Muey Bueno!

African American people having white people's names is freaky to me. You
see a black guy named Bill and you realize he is weak and not a real black
man but, a cultural appropriator who has no base.

I didn't read the article but, I wonder if they mentioned that the wheat
flour tortilla was a creation of Sephardi Jews? If they didn't mention
that, the article may not be worth reading.

The concept of cultural appropriation is the most racist concept since eugenics. I boils down to "you can't do that because you are the wrong race."

plaidmoon@gmail.com: May 29 05:57PM -0700

I'm going to miss that site. It was my go to place for historical data. Somebody there did a lot of research to get scores of all games for schools, some going back to the 1800s. Even for some Div 2 schools, Div 3 schools and schools with long discontinued programs. I hope all that got saved somewhere and will be available.

You have an obsession over "obsession."

You're the one with an unending string of posts about obscure people nobody's ever heard of. Ain't nobody more obscure academically than a DVC professor. Believe me, I took a class or two there in the past. 30 years ago, but I doubt it's changed much since then.
Eagle@bellsouth.net (J. Hugh Sullivan): May 29 07:19PM

...and that hardly ever happens.

We had the usual Memorial Day outdoors to handle the crowd with the
usual dignitaries. People from various Veterans Organizations are
selected to place a white rose on the monuments at the location. As
usual I was asked to present the one for the WWII Veterans. Remember,
this is the day to honor those who could not make it, not those who
could.

When back on the highway headed home I saw about 10 State Troopers,
headlights on, approaching. Behind them was Rolling Thunder headed
home - probably 1,000 or more.

I stopped, as everyone did, but I stepped out of the car to stand
while they passed. Dressed patriotically with my WWII Vet cap they
noticed. I got thumbs up, waves, salutes, picture taken a number of
times, and I saluted every large flag that passed.

What a great day to be an American and so blessed.

Hugh
