STFU.....

He's nearing the end of his life. When I'm nearing the end of my life(and I know it...none of us are guaranteed tomorrow), I like to hope I'd want to accomplish something new. Conquer something I've never done before.

In Sanders case, that would be GET A REAL JOB. hes pushing 80 and has never been gainfully employed outside of elected office. Wouldn't he like to accomplish that at some point during g his life?

Former Clinton aide Jennifer Palmieri, who had a role in the
Clinton team alleging Russian interference in the election ,
has blasted President Trump for being "preoccupied" with
allegations of ties between Russia and the Trump campaign and
called him "obsessed" with proving he is a legitimate president.

<http://legalinsurrection.com/2017/05/uk-election-labour-party-heading-for-a-big-defeat-polls-suggest/>

Labour has already been battered in local elections held earlier
this month, "losing hundreds of seats and the control of
stronghold councils defended by Labour for decades" — as the
British newspaper Independent described it. Sensing an impending
electoral drubbing, Corbyn admitted that his party faces
"challenge on historic scale" in this general election.

Since the last General Election two years ago, the Tories have
improved their position in every region of Britain.

Experts predict that if the results of the YouGov regional poll
are repeated in the election on June 8, Theresa May will sweep to
a huge majority. (…)

The extraordinary figures state that 64 per cent of all voters
prefer Mrs May to her left-wing rival, with even 22 per cent of
Labour supporters backing the incumbent.

In addition, 61 per cent of voters said it was "almost certain"
that the Conservatives would win the election thanks to the
party's consistently strong polling. [The Sun, May 15, 2017]

Once a mighty defender of the British workers in the hay days of
the Industrial Revolution, the Labour Party under Corbyn has been
transformed into a platform for social justice warriors and
prefessional crybabies — something that won Corbyn glaring
endorsements from American left-wing stalwarts such as Bernie
Sanders, Michael Moore and Noam Chomsky, but alienating much of
the working class vote at home.

The Labour Party has been hurt by a lot of things. One overlooked one is the rise of the Scottish National Party, gutting Labour's northern stronghold. The fact is that no matter who leads Labour or its platform it can never win while the SNP is strong. Given their hopeless structural position they might as well indulge their leftist id.

The US analogy would be if a California national Party arose and took all the Democratic seats in the California congressional delegation and won CA's electoral votes.

Should this have gone into a Spot the Loonie post?

Officials at the University of Missouri's flagship campus in
Columbia have announced a plan to cut approximately 400 jobs and
raise tuition in the face of a projected 7.4 percent plunge in
student enrollment and a $14.7 million state budget cut.

So far seven closed dormitories.
How's that Bureau of Land Management thing working our for you?

That'd be about your only shot -- the problem is, there's too many of them.

Then you really have no deterrent.

The 15 minutes will come if enough blood is involved. Take it from someone who knows.

It won't exist there either -- that's one of the reasons we're in the mess we are in now.

I'm not talking about libs feeling this way -- I'm talking Trumpkin conservatives.

Or do you have no real understanding of what you have been part of having wrought here?

No, we won't, and you are right on this.

The problem is that the assholes on the Right were sick of the mainstream Republicans and have literally gone all-in.

This is why I never really discarded Trump THAT greatly, even during the campaign when most felt he could not, at any point, be serious about actually consummating a Presidency out of this!

Thank the courts and the Constitution for that. Trump certainly would like to try.

Olbermann is going to get himself locked up or killed soon.

He's already got a lot of powerful enemies. Trump would be icing on the cake.

Have not been to Mooyah's - seen it tho

It's weird - I've lived here about (damn!) 20 years now and I've never been to Doty's....gotta rectify that.
dotslashderek@gmail.com: May 16 03:17PM -0700

Oh man, if you like burgers you gotta go asap. Really easy parking in the garage right across from there, too.

Buddy I used to work with was back in town a couple weeks ago. We went out to play at university ridge and when we were on the back nine I was like "you should swing by after we finish, we'll get the grill fired up" and he was like "the thing is I really only have five chances to eat at dottys this week, soooo..." (we ended up just going to dottys lol).

Cheers.

I haven't had a hamburger since the pink slime scare of '12. And when I say I haven't had a hamburger I mean I haven't had all that many.

You're making one false premise, I fear.... Does the country survive four years under Trump?

The problem is that I think Pence would turn this country into a Christian dictatorship, and may be even WORSE at the end of the day.

Sounds like a cool area. In the federal arena it's the tight ass bible thumpers that sit in the GOP tent that want to come for your doobies and stick more non violent offenders in jail with longer sentences.

Doubling down on the war on drugs. Jeebus. Heck of a job, sessions!

It would be a travesty if lots of people were idling away in prison because they were caught with pot for personal use and that was the only law they've broken.

Fortunately, there aren't.
