I know that most men, including those at ease with problems of the greatest complexity, can seldom accept even the simplest and most obvious truth if it be such as would oblige them to admit the falsity of conclusions which they have delighted in explaining to colleagues, which they have proudly taught to others, and which they have woven, thread by thread, into the fabric of their lives.

Senator Thom Tillis collapsed this morning, given CPR, and taken away in an ambulance.

If he dies, the race between the Dem NC governor to appoint a replacement and the GOP NC lege to pass a law preventing him from doing so, will be something to see. As seen in some other situations since he became governor, Roy Cooper is actually pretty good at this kind of maneuvering. But so are the NC GOP legislative leaders.

If he lives that law gets passed just as quickly as HB2 did and it's moot.

LOL. I'm disappointed in the newspapers.

The Financial Times has turned into a flyer. IBD is okay. The WSJ seems to be hanging in there. The NYT is kind of a mess. The Post is a DNC product. My local paper is good for comics.

If I didn't travel so much, I would never get a decent crossword.

From what I've seen, the Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, St. Louis papers have turned into house organs for Antifa and BLM. The Omaha paper is owned by Warren Buffett.

Silly me - that quote was clearly too lucid for a Trump tweet

Complete and utter lack of political experience.

He's not the "dealmaker" he makes himself out to be - he's into drama and making a scene around him.

Hmmmm......I seem to have written these words before....oh yeah - that's right - during the primaries

KLR 650, my only regret was not adding a better seat.

Coolness. When I was younger I wanted to ride the Al-Can, but could
never afford it. Now, I wouldn't drive anything like that without
bringing my room with me.

I'd burn all my stuff and do it in a second, but with a wife and kids things change.

Definitely. That's what sent me to prison for 28 years.

I love this poast

you gotta remember, the complaints you hear about deportation of illegal aliens come from the suburbs. Folks gotta have their cheap labor.

Here's something a bit more credible.

https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2017-05-16/former-dnc-staffer-seth-rich-gunned-down-last-summer-was-in-contact-with-wikileaks-reports-say
tim.vanwagonerspam@gmail.com: May 16 11:30PM -0700

No it is not. Notice the time of the reports. New information has come out from the original source since the US News one.

If you prefer a right wing site, how about:

I was just trying to help you out so you don't find yourself spreading an outdated and disproven conspiracy theory. If you don't want it, and it fits your worldview fine. Truth is apparently relative these days anyway.

This situation seems to lack a definitive truth. You seem to be
assuming that everyone is telling the complete truth.

I don't spread much at all on Facebook. I'm not even
on it that much.

When police arrived and tried to talk with Ball, his replies did not make much sense, but he did indicate that "they ate his pork chop and now he has to eat noodles," according to the police report.

That was funny, dude. Thx.

Cheers.

I'd like to see that.
But first bring back masses in Latin and repeal the rest of
the Second Vatican Council. Then we can get on with slow
roasting Church deniers.
