John Walsh <jwalsh589@gmail.com>: May 29 04:18PM -1000 Couple of good shots before his teammates buried him. That curve was going behind Harper and Harper backed his sorry ass right into it. The ****y can't throw a helmet and he barely laided a hand on Strickland. Abouot the only interesting thing the Giants did all day. |
John Walsh <jwalsh589@gmail.com>: May 30 04:44PM -1000 >> ****y can't throw a helmet and he barely laided a hand on Strickland. >> Abouot the only interesting thing the Giants did all day. >this is Harper's 9th or 10th time he has been ejected. So an assclown like Strickland goes ahead and hits him when the Giants least need that kind of thing. Immaturity or motivating the team? |
Awesome Giants <Giants@sf.giants>: May 31 10:00AM > Couple of good shots before his teammates buried him. That curve > was going behind Harper and Harper backed his sorry ass right into > it. LOL. 98mph curve? Must have been some curve! ;-) BTW, Strickland got a 6-game suspension while Harper got 4, which on the surface looked like Strickland got the heavier penalty, but considering he's a reliever, he might only pitch 3 times in a 6-game span anyway, and he usually pitches no more than 1 inning per game, while Harper's usually playing all 9 innings. It's a landslide in Strickland's favor if you count the penalty by innings: 36-3. :-) And if you think that the chances of Harper signing with the Giants are slim before, it's pretty much down to zero now. :-) |
Awesome Giants <Giants@sf.giants>: May 31 09:58AM > Harper should be suspended. What kind of uneducated person would put a long url in the subject line? LOL. So stupid. |
Awesome Giants <Giants@sf.giants>: May 31 09:58AM > He better have a month where he gets a record number of RBI > perhaps 60. Because we keep seeing this stuff over and over: Bottom of 1st: Calixte singled to center Nunez grounded out, Calixte to second Belt struck out Posey walked Ruggiano struck out Inning over Pretty hard to get any RBI like that. But that is something way above wayne's brain power to understand. :-D But that's wayne, the only Posey-hater Giants fan on the planet. :-D |
Awesome Giants <Giants@sf.giants>: May 31 09:57AM Is there an Arroyo effect? Giants' last 8 games: Tue 5/23 Arroyo started, Giants lost (+bowling night) Wed 5/24 Arroyo started, Giants lost Thu 5/25 Arroyo started, Giants lost Fri 5/26 Arroyo started, Giants lost Sat 5/27 Arroyo not in lineup, Giants won Sun 5/28 Arroyo not in lineup, Giants won Mon 5/29 Arroyo started, Giants lost Tue 5/30 Arroyo started, Giants lost (+bowling night) Of course it can't be Arroyo's fault for the 6 losses in 8 games. Unlike a pitcher, one position player usually can't lose a game by himself; it's a team effort. If anything, wayne's bowling jinx is probably a bigger fault. Everyone knows wayne is the resident bad luck charm. Then again, there might be some small effects: Arroyo last 7 games: .077 BA, .154 SLG, .297 OPS Nunez last 7 games: .400 BA, .400 SLG, .838 OPS And Arroyo did go 0 for the week last week. |
Awesome Giants <Giants@sf.giants>: May 31 09:56AM It's almost automatic these days. |
John Walsh <jwalsh589@gmail.com>: May 30 06:19PM -1000 One lousy inning and Morris puts the game out of reach with 3 runs. With a light hitting team like the Giants, that's three runs too many. Samardzija didn't help the situation with his 3 runs and 100 pitches thru 4 innings. |

A lot of seeing eye ground balls in that inning. |
ariess@bellsouth.net: May 30 10:08PM -0700 now ups his pace to 36 RBI for the season. |
John Walsh <jwalsh589@gmail.com>: May 30 07:12PM -1000 >now ups his pace to 36 RBI for the season. Amazing what happens when someone actually gets on base ahead of Buster. |
John Walsh <jwalsh589@gmail.com>: May 30 04:42PM -1000 Three hits and two earned runs in the first. Samardzija expended 30 pitches in the first. He won't be in for long if he keeps this up. Calixte leads off for the Giants, his first ML hit. Good start for the kid. Hope that's motivation for the rest of the non-hitting clowns on this team. Nunez grounds out, Calixte to second. Belt does his usual swing at the first two pitches for strikes, the first almost in the dirt. And ... he watches the callled third strike. Way to earn your money, clown. Giants 0 Nationals 2 (looks familiar, don't it!) |

A single, a throwing error by Buster and two more singles gets the Nationals another run. When Samardzija misses, he's really far out of the zone. Each of the singles was fatso in the zone. Why not four straight singles! Bases loaded and Samardziaj is already well past 50 pitches in the 2nd inning. Gonzalez 19 pitches, Samardzija 62 pitches thru two innings. Giants 0 Nationals 3 |

ariess@bellsouth.net: May 30 09:44PM -0700 This has to be the third or fourth time this week that an ump took the bat or the rally away from the giants on a terrible ball and strike call. I think at this point we need electronic calling of balls and strikes. |
ariess@bellsouth.net: May 30 09:22PM -0700 so far this year giants shut out 6 times, giants have shut out their opposition, zero time. |
ariess@bellsouth.net: May 30 09:18PM -0700 Seems as if they updated the rest of the league. Wonder what is going on there. |
