Awesome Giants <Giants@sf.giants>: May 03 06:45AM

> [blah blah blah... the usual Posey-hating stuff...]

Posey in RISP:

BA: .235
OBP: .409

Not a great BA but a great OBP. These numbers tell us that teams are
not giving him anything decent to hit in RISP situations; they'd rather
take their chances on the next hitter.

Posey with Men on base:

BA: .323
OBP: 417

Great stats. That means the guys batting behind him have a lot of RBI
chances but they're not coming through.

I know, these stats won't stop wayne from hating Posey because we all
know he's the most irrational person in this ng and he's obsessed with
Posey. :-)

They were in last place in 2014.

Well, all 3 were top 10 picks. Gotta admit they took a gamble on
Lincecum but it paid off tremendously. Though yes, even top 10
picks aren't sure things, so they did very well there, hitting the
jackpot 3 times.

More like 3-4 years. Those were '06-'09 picks, and they won in
2010.

Yeah they didn't do well in mid to late 1st round picks at all.
Well they did get Panik at #29 but that's about it. They did pick
some gems from later rounds picks though. Crawford was a 4th
rounder, and Belt was a 5th rounder.

I still think the international market is tougher and more gamble
than you think. Not that many of them really panned out. And the
richest teams have a big advantage.

If they're gonna spend that kind of money, might as well try for
Harper. :-)

> Oh well, the team can't hit any worse, so far .230 as a team.

This could be the worst hitting OF in history.
Awesome Giants <Giants@sf.giants>: May 03 06:36AM

Bowling night jinx is alive and well.

Looking at the score, you would not believe the Giants actually out-hit
the bums 12-11.

Looks like their bats *are* heating up a bit in May though. 5 runs
tonight and 4 runs off Kershaw last night (which is like 8 runs against
others, right?) :-)

Let's see if it'll hold up.

Gotta stop batting Gorkys 1st though. We really can't do better than
Gorkys and Stubbs? Hard to believe...

There's no more snakebit pitching in MLB than the starters and
relievers for the San Francisco Giants.

3 runs charge to Morris in the 6th. Damn, who's next?

Giants 5 Dodgers 13

How bout them Giants! Stuck on single digit hitting again.
John Walsh <jwalsh589@gmail.com>: May 02 06:06PM -1000

4 more runs in the 4th and Bochy finally pulls the bust. Gearrin
contributes only 1 run to the growing total of Dodger scores.

What's more asinine than that? The Dodgers have the same number of
f**king hits as the Giants ... 7 hits!

Giants 5 Dodgers 10

Giants pulled out the Welcome Wagon again and Moore was driving it.
ariess@bellsouth.net: May 02 08:08PM -0700

So Moore gives up 5 runs before they get an out, and then one more for good measure, after 2 innings the bums 6, the giants 4. geeeeeeesh.

Moore gives the Dodgers more! That's kind of normal for Giants
pitching. It's Bums 6 Giants 5
John Walsh <jwalsh589@gmail.com>: May 02 04:42PM -1000

Arroyo works Wood for a single, Nunez hits a Wood mistake pitch for a
single. Will the Giants score a run this early in a game? Hard to
imagine with a .192 hitter like Hundley up to bat. Wood walks Hundley
to load the bases.

Wouldn't mind seeing Moore knock in a couple of runs. Oh yes, a
2-seamer to center gets Arroyo in.

Giants 1 Dodgers 0

Gorkys Hernandez takes 2 pitches to bail Woods out with a line out to
the pitcher. Stupid fool can't even hit Mendoza. Belt, hitting better
than Mendoza slugs a double to right and the Giants up the lead to a
lofty 4 runs. 5 hits in 2 innings, damn!

Giants 4 Dodgers 0

Well that didn't last long, did it! Moore gives up 6 runs and puts
the Giants behind the 8-ball. How the hell does a pitcher manage this
with the light hitting Giants out hitting the Dodgers?

You can hear Bochy now. "He had a great game, except for the 2nd
inning!"

Giants 5 Dodgers 6
