John Walsh <jwalsh589@gmail.com>: May 13 01:12PM -1000 The Giants broke out the long ball and added two more home runs. Belt awakened from his batting slump long enough to hit the ball into McCovey Cove and Ruggiano got his first major league home run. Moore improved his record to 2-4 with a well pitched game, giving up only one run in 7.1 inning, running out gas in the 8th. Giants 3 Reds 1 While they didn't get double figures in hits, they had good enough pitching to hold the Reds to one run. |
ariess@bellsouth.net: May 13 02:44PM -0700 Giants got their 2 run allotment early in the game now for a nine inning game. The hope is to keep the opposition below 2 runs. Giants now a 2 run per regulation game, type of team. |

The pitching held up and that means two straight wins for a team that hasn't seen two in a row for a while. |
ariess@bellsouth.net: May 13 01:54PM -0700 > 6 homers, 9 RBI, May 12th. 8 of last 9 dingers for team, solo shots. maybe next year he needs to get his concussion about a week before spring training ends. |
ariess@bellsouth.net: May 13 01:50PM -0700 Giants continue their mastery of the solo homer. And Moore continues his lack of control, although so far the giants have the lead. Beware, two straight bloop hits for Cincy, broken bat. Watch out schebler is up, everyone on cincy's team with more homers than our homer leader, almost that is. |
poldy <poldy@kfu.com>: May 13 11:15AM -0700 Belliger leads the Dodgers in HRs. I guess he's kind of like a phenom, not really expected to play for the MLB team this year. When he was drafted, he was more of a line-drive hitter but apparently switched things up in the minor leagues. That might suggest Dodgers invested in good hitting coaches, who know how to develop sluggers. |
